Abstract: This presentation offers comprehensive guidance on establishing a high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) framework within your enterprise, leveraging the robust capabilities of MySQL.
Participants will gain practical insights into building a resilient infrastructure by integrating essential tools such as MySQL Shell, MySQL Router, MySQL Group Replication, MySQL InnoDB Cluster, and Clusterset.

Speaker-1: Y V Ravi Kumar | Managing Director – Cloud CoE, Infolob Global

Bio: Y V Ravi Kumar is an Oracle Certified Master (OCM)/ Co-Author of (x6) books/ Technical Reviewer of (x5) books with 26+ years of experience in the banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) verticals. He has published over 100+ Oracle technology articles on Oracle Technology Network (OTN), OraWorld Magazine, UKOUG, OTech Magazine, and Redgate.

He has spoken four times at Oracle Open/Cloud World (OOW), US. He is one among the very few to complete “Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect and MySQL Heatwave Associate” certifications. He has designed, architected, and implemented the core banking system (CBS) database for the central banks of two countries – India and Mahé, Seychelles.

He has co-authored several books, Oracle Database Upgrade and Migration Methods, Oracle High Availability, Disaster Recovery & Cloud Services, Oracle GoldenGate with Microservices, Oracle Global Data Services for Mission-critical Systems, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) GoldenGate and Mastering MySQL Administration.

He has also participated in the technical review of the books, Oracle 19c Autoupgrade Best Practices, Oracle Autonomous Database in Enterprise Architecture, End-to-End Observability with Grafana, Maximum Availability Architecture (MAA) with OGGMS in HUB Architecture and The Cloud Computing Journey.

He has received the EB1-A Extraordinary Ability green card, colloquially known as the “Einstein visa,” from the United States. He is also a Senior Member of IEEE (Advancing Technology for Humanity), showcasing his commitment to advancing technology for the betterment of society.

Speaker-2: Arun Samayam | Principal Cloud Architect, Cloud and Engineering Platforms, American Airlines

Bio: Arun Kumar Samayam is an experienced technology architect and a seasoned database professional with a profound passion for innovation. Arun is a Principal Cloud Solutions Architect in Cloud and Engineering platform team at a global airline company. Arun is part of the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) team, where he drives the organization’s cloud transformation journey through cloud governance practices.

Before this role, Arun worked as a Product Technical leader for the Enterprise Database services team, where he had the opportunity to develop and hone his technical proficiency through engineering, managing and supporting multiple database platforms like Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL server, and MongoDB. In addition, Arun is a multi-cloud certified professional, and his industry knowledge and experience have made him a speaker at prestigious events like Oracle OpenWorld, where he shared his insights and expertise on database products.

Bio: Sri Ram Phani Kiran Kadambari is a seasoned IT Professional with 14 Years of expertise in Diverse Domains, Database Management, and Cloud Solutions. He has a relentless passion for databases, extensive expertise in Oracle (including Engineered Systems), Postgres, MySQL with heatwave, and a deep understanding of cloud platforms like OCI and AWS. His technical expertise helped various clients migrate their existing databases and mission-critical applications to cloud environments.

Phani’s career commenced as a Database trainer, with a commitment and passion to knowledge-sharing, he has trained and mentored countless individuals shape their career as database engineers.

He is a Certified Oracle GoldenGate implementation specialist (for data replication and integration), Certified associate – PostgreSQL 13, gained multiple certifications in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and AI.
