Session Title: Bridging On-Premise and Cloud Secure Database Migration Strategies to OCI

Abstract: Join us to explore a streamlined approach to migrating your on-premise database to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Database Cloud Service (DBCS) without enabling Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) in your local environment. Our solution leverages Oracle initialization parameters to maintain encryption-free on-premise environments during switchover, while encrypting new tablespaces on OCI.

Challenges Addressed:

• Connectivity, database licensing and maintenance challenges are common in hybrid environments.
• Difficulty creating a DR environment with TDE enabled without needing to change on-premise licensing.
• Switching over between an on-premise and OCI server while retaining the ability to switch back.
